MLM Success Insider’s Secret

May 27th, 2010 2 comments »

By: Tom “Big Al” Schreiter

Why do some MLM distributors make the right choices and build Successful MLM businesses?

Why do some MLM distributors consistently make terrible choices, lose money, watch their MLM companies crumble, and lead a life of  frustration with no results for their efforts?

It’s simple. Consider this situation.

You are standing in a room with three doors. Behind each door is an opportunity, a path that will lead you to either success or failure. You don’t know what kind of opportunity or success lies behind each door, so you have three options.

1. You can stay standing. Don’t make a choice or a commitment. Just don’t do anything. Stay there where you are in life.

2. Blindly pick a door. Maybe you feel lucky, hope that hype will work in your favor, or feel good about the vibes from picking your lucky number.

3.  Ask someone what is behind the doors.

That’s the power a mentor can add to your “desire for Success.” Doesn’t it make sense to simply ask someone what is behind the three doors? Why take chances with your life? Why leave your MLM success subject to guessing, finger crossing and a lottery mentality?

The successful big earners in MLM built their businesses from using two successful strategies:

Strategy #1 for MLM success:  If you want to learn how to be successful in MLM, learn from someone who is already successful.

Strategy #2 for MLM success: Learn from someone who has a system for success  that you can follow.

At Mentoring For Free we’ll train you to build big in Network Marketing with any MLM Company.

MLM- What’s wrong with friends and Family?

May 26th, 2010 1 comment »

Like any other business, over 90% of everybody fails. You and your friends & family are no different. And when your friends & family fail, WHO are they going to blame?

(You should now have your hand raised.)

Once you have your business working and cranking out leads and paychecks, THEN I am 100% in favor of talking to friends & family. In fact, you won’t have to call them – they will hear the good news, and they will call you. They will want you to tell them how you did it. And then you can teach them exactly how you used “Success In 10 Steps” by Michael Dlouhy to find the strongest leads in the business to build your network marketing income.

So don’t join the NFL (No Friends Left) club. You can use “Success In 10 Steps” and get good training and get good at building your business. Make your mistakes with the people you don’t know. THEN turn around and pick up your friends & family.

That will result in a much happier Thanksgiving dinner family gathering, I can assure you.

To build your own big income in M-L-M, the people you sponsor will need a constant stream of hot prospects. I can help you do that for them, and for yourself. For details, call me at 908-337-3160 or email me with your name, phone number, and the best time to call.

Do You Own Your Life?

May 18th, 2010 2 comments »

Do you ever find yourself saying or thinking things like,

“I would start exercising if I didn’t have to work so many hours each day” or

“I’d travel the world but there’s no way I could get out of my job to make it happen” or

“I’d like to try something new but everyone is depending on me to keep our home life like it is”

Who’s the rare parent that can make it to all the sports and school events? I see a couple in the crowd, regulars. Where’s the rest of the parents? They’re out making a living of course, if you call that living!

In a nutshell, do you find yourself feeling trapped in the life you’ve created and wishing you could make a change “if only….” ? If you are experiencing these feelings – you don’t own your life.

Home business is the answer folks! Never before has the timing been so right to jump in and get started. Before you do, take a few minutes to learn what it takes to succeed in this demanding marketplace.

You wouldn’t do skydiving without some training, education, and practice would you? Not if you were sober! It’s the same in this profession, or any other, you need to learn the basics before you jump on in, like taking swimming lessons!

For those who are already in, struggling, and lost in all  the hype, lies, and misconceptions, there is a life saver! It’s found in the awesome tool of knowledge, based on experience in the industry, and passion for change. You’ll find the answers here, if you focus in the right direction!

Are You with the Right MLM Company?

March 9th, 2010 78 comments »

My good friend and Mentor Michael Dlouhy, author of Success in 10 Steps, talks about the 5 questions to ask before you choose a

company to work with for the next five, ten or twenty years.
Getting the answers to these questions will save you years of failure
and frustration.

And remember … IT’S NOT ABOUT THE PRODUCTS.
You can have the greatest products on the planet,
but if your company does not have all 5 pillars,
you can have everything taken away from you overnight.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
1. Company Management Experience with Integrity
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Read your Policies and Procedures. Look for the words
“termination” and “ongoing”. Find out how safe you are,
how your downline is protected, and whether you can
ever retire.

Rule of Thumb: The longer the contract, the more
overhead the company has, and the less you earn.

Do a Google search on the company and the owners
of the company you are researching. Add the word
’scam’ to your search. Check reliable websites like
www.mlmwatchdog.com, etc. for warnings.

Beware of companies where you can buy your way
to the top. Check ebay to see if the company’s
products are being sold there.

Beware of sponsors offering you a “good position”.
There can be no “deals” in an ethical company.
There must be a level playing field.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
2. Timing in the Company / Timing in the Industry
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Beware of “ground floor opportunities” and start-up
companies. 99% of companies don’t last two years.

Most people don’t make money in the first two years
while the company is dealing with problems.

Profit comes AFTER two years. Join then.

Do not join a company with a product with no profit
margin, e.g. long distance or vinyl records!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
3. Remarkable Product
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Be sure your product is unique – not invisible among others.
Read Seth Godin’s “The Purple Cow”.

Warning: If the product would not sell without a business
opportunity attached, it is ILLEGAL.

If you can’t pay online with a credit card, and if you can only
pay by cash or money order, it is ILLEGAL.

If distributors collect the money while the company stays
at arm’s length, it is ILLEGAL.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
4. Compensation Plan That Pays Part-Timers
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
95% of networkers are part-time. Make sure that people can
make a decent income working a few hours per week.

Beware of companies that advertise how many millionaires
they have created. Make sure it’s not at the expense of
those “at the bottom”. Everyone should be able to benefit.

Ask the question “How many people must I have in my
business to earn $10,000 per month?” There are companies
out there that require as many as 10,000 and as few as 400.
It’s not unusual to see well-established companies that
require 3000 to 7000 people, and still attract new distributors.

If your upline won’t or can’t answer this basic question,
you should run.

If a company stresses “Recruit, Recruit, Recruit!”, you should
“Run, Run, Run!”

The key to success is moving product from the company to
the end consumer.

If you are making only 5% to 8% commissions, you are
being extremely underpaid.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
5. System for Success
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The company must have a duplicatable system for success.
People are not duplicatable – systems are. e.g. If you have
to rely on upline doing presentations, this is NOT duplicatable.

DO NOT MAKE A LIST OF YOUR FRIENDS AND FAMILY.

STOP BUYING LEADS.

These methods do not work anymore.

I hope this short summary has been informative and useful.

Common Mistakes Everyone Makes in MLM

February 17th, 2010 11 comments »

A common mistake, often fatal to your business is: “Failing to check the background of your company’s leadership!
When the management team has built a downline themselves, they
respect you.

Companies are nothing without us!

If they could sell their products themselves, they’d just put some
magical ad on the internet somewhere and people would come
to buy in droves.

But that does not happen.

Why? Because it takes you and me to build the relationships
with the prospects, so they buy from us.

And how do you know if your company leadership has integrity?
Simple. Read their company Policies & Procedures. (not the
Terms & Conditions) Then you will know.

99.9% of the people you talk to want to build a business and then
retire and enjoy the fruits of their work.

But these companies have come in the backdoor like snakes in
the night. They’ve changed their Policies & Procedures, adding
phrases like “ongoing sales”, “ongoing recruiting,” “continuous”,
“regular meetings.” You cannot retire – even though they’ve
promoted early retirement as one of the main benefits of their
business!

It’s amazing. If you retire, they can legally terminate you! Does
that show any sign of integrity?

Absolutely not.

Your Policies & Procedures are THE contract between you & your
company. They are written by the company lawyers. You’d better
know for certain what YOUR P&Ps say!

Here are some additional steps to insure your safety & security.
• Search Google for the owners of the company.
• Do the owners have Integrity? Add the word ‘Scam’ to your search.
• Do the owners have a Corporate background or an in-the-field Network Marketing background?
• Read your “Policies & Procedures” and “Terms & Conditions”;
both are part of your Legal Contract.
• Look for the word “Ongoing”.
• Look for policies that strike you as “Unreasonable”. Like “Termination, with or without cause”.
• Ask yourself “Does this contract protect me or the company?” “Is it clear which way it leans?”
• Does the company charge you for training or a company web site?
• Does the company charge you for each paycheck they send you?

Rules of Thumb:
• The longer the contract, the greater the possibility that the policies important to you
are being hidden in “Legalese”!
• If it’s a “Cash Only” business…It’s a Scam!
• If you can buy a position at the top…It’s a Scam!
• If you are offered a “Special Deal”…the playing field isn’t level for all.
• If the products are sold on eBay at a greatly reduced price…Buy there instead.
• If a company is publicly traded, Financial Decisions Will be made in Favor of the
Stockholders at the Expense of the Distributors.
• Check these two websites: http://MLMwatchdog.com and http://MarketWaveInc.com.

The above info (taken from our trainng) covers only 1 of 5 critical legs (Pillars) that make up ALL companies. This and much more is available to each member of our community, Mentoring For Free.

Questions your Prospects Ask

February 3rd, 2010 66 comments »

It is key to make your network marketing business as duplicatable as possible. And the less you have to talk, the more duplicatable it gets. The ability to use the Success In 10 Steps ebook and just point to sections that answer certain questions or to sections that would be valuable to people makes your life a lot simpler.

The format of the ebook has been very successful. It’s had over 107,000 downloads in the past 4 years. A lot of people have used STS to generate leads and build an MLM business. It is set up to make it easy for people to do network marketing. You don’t have to be an expert at anything. You hardly even need to be able to answer any questions.

We know the 3 questions people most ask when they’re looking for a business:

1. Is this something I can do?
2. Can I make money at it?
3. Can you help me?

For them to answer question #1 positively, the business has to be really simple. And it’s important to show them that it’s going to be simple for them to give this system to the people they bring into the business.

They may not be thinking that far ahead. But as soon as you point out to them that they have to be able to give THEIR prospects a simple system or their business will not duplicate, they know that is true.

On page 10 of STS, Michael Dlouhy talks about the 100 MLM companies that he joined. It’s a good story that can answer several different questions.

Most of the people who download the STS ebook are people who have already been in network marketing, but who have struggled with the business. They’re looking for answers. They don’t know why they haven’t been successful. They know it’s not because somebody else is smarter than they are. They are frustrated.

So Michael joining 100 different MLM businesses to kind of get an idea of how the whole thing works resonates with them. It makes sense to do that. And it helps give your prospect some background that helps them see all the value they can possibly get from reading this ebook.

Page 10 is definitely one of the sections I would point out to prospects. Again, when you only need to point someone to a page in the book to answer their questions and gain credibility, it becomes obvious that this is a very easy business to do.

Are You Wondering Why You Are Not Succeeding in Network Marketing/MLM?

January 18th, 2010 5 comments »

By Tom “Big Al” Schreiter:

“It is not the quantity of information we lack. There already is too much of that. It is the quality of information that we need to move ahead.

I have several different books on network marketing on my bookshelf behind my office chair.

If I do a search for “MLM Coach” (yeah, everyone is an MLM coach), Google gives me 74,000 results. Now, if I just do one coaching call a week with 74,000 coaches . . .

If I do a search for “MLM Training,” Google gives me 452,000 results. Yikes, how could I ever go to over four hundred thousand pages in my lifetime?!

If I do a search for “MLM Blog,” Google gives me 48,000 results. I think I would be tired after 75 or 80 blogs. :)

If I just want information about “MLM,” Google gives me 25,000,000 results. Okay, I give up.

Our distributors are not failing due to lack of information. They don’t need more information.

What do they need?

1. Quality information. The actual word-for-word skills to get the job done.

2. They need to get started. We all have distributors with all the information and skills they need, but they just can’t “pull the trigger”and get out there and talk to someone.

We have all been frustrated with this problem.

This is more than a motivational CD problem. It is a huge problem.

We’re talking self-image issues, procrastination, fear of rejection, subconscious mind sort of thing.”

Whether you are a beginner who wants to be off to a fast start, or if you are a pro and want to have the exact skills to build faster, you will want to start the Free training by downloading this free e-book.

Success MLM Tip ~Read your Policies and Procedures

January 12th, 2010 15 comments »

I’m sure you’ve signed up for something and checked the little box that says you agree before they let you click that last button to proceed many times.

You’ll be amazed at what you find in your own Policies and Procedures, the legal contract between you and your MLM company.
In MLM / Network Marketing, that box you check usually says something like this, “I have read, understand and agree to the Terms of Agreement, the Policies and Procedures, and the Compensation Plan.”
Wow! You just agreed to a lot of stuff and if you are like most people, you didn’t even read it. You don’t even know what they are. Isn’t that interesting…
We read contracts and agreements everywhere else in our lives, so why don’t we read them before we sign up online?
If there is just one phrase or one word that you do not understand, DO NOT SIGN! This is not a hobby you are starting. This is a serious business and should be treated seriously.

If you were buying a business that cost you thousands of dollars, would you read the contract or maybe have an attorney read it? Of course you would. But you get into your little business for very little money so it isn’t necessary. Really?

Here is a Real example:

This is a major company, name changed to [company] to protect the criminals. What a deal.
10.3. AGREEMENT TERMINABLE AT WILL
You may terminate your relationship with [company] at any time by providing a signed written notice to [company]. [Company] may also terminate the relationship with you (including any partnerships, corporations or other entity) at any time by providing written notice. You or [company] are not required to have any reason, nor do you or [company] have to claim or prove any cause to terminate this relationship. If and when the relationship is terminated, you shall have no claim against [company] nor any right to claim or collect lost profits, lost opportunities or any other damages. Termination will result in the loss of all benefits as an [company] Independent Consultant.

Imagine that every phrase in the contract you signed can and will be used against you, because that is what will happen.
If you are thinking, “Oh! They wouldn’t do this to me.” Ask yourself, “Why did they put it in the P&P if they weren’t planning to use it?”

The good news is that there is help to keep you out of this situation.
To learn more about how to protect yourself, start with Success In Ten Steps by Michael Dlouhy.                                                                            It will save you years of failure and frustration.

Think back on the last three programs you joined. How dependable were those who were in leadership? Were they there for you? Would they have been willing to help you even if you were not making them a dime? Think hard.

Time’s up. I can almost bet what your number was. For most people it is usually less than one. Why is that? What is it about leaders in this industry who only want to help you when they know they will benefit first?

Marcello Lisi has some great insights that he discovered from Success In Ten Steps. This is one story you will not want to over look. To read his story, go to:
